1 pound CANNULI'S Hot or Sweet Sausage Links
2-3 red or green peppers, seeded and sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
8 oz. freash mushrooms, washed and sliced
1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's tomatoe sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste
Place the sausage in a frying pan and pour in about 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and let simmer until sausage looks white. Pour off the water, then brown sausage evenly on both sides. Add sliced pepper, onion and mushrooms and saute until golden brown. Add tomatoes sauce and simmer about 10 minutes. Correct seasoning. Serve wiht a dry red wine and a loaf of itatlian bread.
1-2 pounds of CANNULI'S Cheese Sausage Links, cut into single links
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2-3 potatoes, peeled and sliced.
Salt and pepper to taste
In a lightly oiled glass baking dish, place in layers potatoes, oinions, top with sausage links. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, turning and basting wiht pan juices after about 30 minutes. Correct the seasoning to taste. Serves 4-6 people.
(4-5 pound) cannuli's seasoned pork roast 1 large baking bag 2 tablespoons flour 1/2 cup water for the gravy: 1-1/2 cups chicken broth or stock 4 tablespoons corn starch 1/4 cup cold water 1/4 cup sherry (optional)
In the baking bag, place 2 tablespoons flour and shake. Place the pork roast in the bag, and add the water. Close the bag with the tie provided. Carefully, cut six (1/2- inch) slits in the top of the bag. Place in a roasting pan and bake for specified time at 350 degrees. GRAVY: When the roast is done, carefully remove the meat to a warm platter. Pour the accumulated liquid from the bag into a sauce pan. Add 1 cup of the chicken broth to the sauce pan and heat until almost boiling. In a small cup or bowl, stir the corn starch into the cold water and carefully stir into the saucepan. Add the remaining 1/2 cup or more of chicken stock and sherry and allow to thicken (more broth can bead)
2 larges cans crushed tomatoes
2 or 3 fresh basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/2 medium onion, peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
1 pound CANNULI'S Hot or Sweet Sauage, removed from the casing
1/4 cup sherry or red wine (optional)
Salt and Pepper to taste
In a large sauce pan, place the tomato sauce or tomato paste, basil and sugar and begin to simmer over a medium heat. In a frying pan, saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil. Pour into the simmering tomoato sauce. Fry the sausage until brown and add to the tomato sauce. (you may want to drain any fat that renders in the frying pan during cooking.) Pour the sherry into the frying pan and stir to loosen any of the delicious juices still in the pan and add to the tomato sauce. Simmer uncovered at least 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked medium shell pasta or spaghetti
